Security beefed up in Kurram Agency on beginning of Muharram

According the media reports received from the area on Friday, the security check posts have been increased and beside the measures on the ground, security forces also launched air surveillance by the helicopters.The Kurram Agency is one of the Shia dominated areas in Pakistan which is witnessed of awful situation in the last three years.

The roads toward Parachinar, the capital of Kurram Agency are remain closed for the public use and people of the area are still facing hardships.Government declared the 200 Huseinias (Mourning centres) in the Kurram Agency as sensitive and security forces along with the local volunteers are deployed to prevent any possible terrible episode.
