Muharram congregations start amid security threats*

Majalis-e-Aza in connection with the month of Muharram-ul-Harram started on

Wednesday across the country to mark the sacrifice of Hazrat Iimagesmam Hussain

(AS), progeny of holy prophet Mohamamd (PBUH) and companions of Imam Hussain

(AS) in Karbala.

Hundreds of thousands congregations are being held in Pakistan besides a

large number of Muharram processions being taken out in every part of the

country.

Addressing the religious congregations, Ulema’s and Zakarin including Allama

Naseem Abbas Rizvi, Maulana Hassan Zafar Naqvi, Allama Abbas Kumaili,

Maulana Ameen Shaheedi, Allama Hafiz Tasqduq Hussain, Dr Kalba Sadiq,

Maulana ShahanShah Hussain, Allama Furqan Haider, and others highlighted the

sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in the land of karabala.

They said that the Imam Hussain (AS), the grand son of Holy Prophet Mohammad

(PBUH), and his associates had sacrificed their lives for the supremacy of

Islam.

They said that Yazid (LA) wanted to damage the real teachings of Islam but

Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions laid down their lives for a noble cause

and preserved the spirit the religion for eternity.

They warned that no restriction on Azadari Majalis and processions would

ever be tolerated and no one will be allowed to fix limits for worship

saying that Agents of United States and Israel are hatching the conspiracy

to restrict the Azadari and Millad-un-Nabi (SAWW) processions.

Administration has been adopted the strict security measures to avoid any

bid of terrorism. Security scanner and CCTV camera’s have been installed at

the central majalis and procession routes.

However, the volunteers of Shia community are checking the mourners outside

the entrances of Majalis.

Despite the grave threat of terrorism in the country, hundreds of thousands

of Majalis are being held in various parts of the country to mark the

sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS).
