Two more Sunni parties’ leaders Sahibzada Abul Khair Zubair of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) and Sahibzada Hamid Raza, chief of Sunni Ittehad Council, have turned down the government decision to send more Pakistani troops to Saudi Arabia.

“As a matter of fact, sacred shrines of Islam in Makkah and Medina are not under any sort of threat. Sending troops to Saudi kingdom is against the interest of Pakistan,” Sahibzada Hamid Raza said, talking to a delegation at his office in Faisalabad.
Sahibzada Abul Khair Zubair also heads Milli Yakjehti Council, an alliance of Sunni-Shia religious parties, said that sending Pakistani troops is tantamount to contempt of Parliament.
He said on the one hand, PMLN government claims Parliament is supreme and on the other it violates the unanimously adopted resolution of the bicameral parliament that called for neutrality in conflicts within Muslim world. He said Pakistan should not be made part of Saudi-Yemen conflict.
