Senate Committee summons IGP KP over Shia killings in Dera Ismail Khan

Chairman of Senate standing committee on interior, Senator Rehman Malik, has said that Home Secretary and Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were summoned to the committee meeting over the unabated targeted killings of Shia Muslims in Dera Ismail Khan.

The committee expressed dissatisfaction over the law and order situation in DI Khan and made it clear that Senate could not remain silent on the targeted murders of followers of a school of thought (Shia Muslims).
Three innocent and law-abiding Shia citizens of Pakistan were shot dead in broad daylight in Dera Ismail Khan but the KP government and security officials seemed to have failed to arrest their killers.
