Chairman of Pakistani Senate Mian Raza Rabbani and Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will visit Iran to attend the 13th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States that will begin on Tuesday.
The 13th Session of the PUIC Conference and other related meetings will start in Tehran on Tuesday and will be underway until January 17.
According to the Iranian embassy in Islamabad, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will lead the Pakistani delegation in the conference while Chairman of Pakistani Senate Mian Raza Rabbani will be the chief guest on the occasion.
As per schedule, Mian Raza Rabbani reaches Tehran on Tuesday from Karachi while Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also reaches Teheran on the same day.
It is expected that the representatives of 44 Asian and African countries including 16 speakers, 14 deputy speakers, and several parliamentary delegations attend the conference. A delegation from Russia will also attend the event.
The Founding Conference of the PUIC held in Tehran, decided to establish on 17 June 1999, the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) with the Permanent Headquarters in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran. Its headquarters was inaugurated on 24 April 2001.
