Court orders police to produce Nasir Shirazi on November 16

Lahore High Court Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin ordered the Capital City Police Officer Lahore to produce Nasir Shirazi, kidnapped deputy secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, in his court on November 16.

The court of Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin was hearing the petition filed by brother of Nasir Shirazi regarding his kidnapping by the cops in plainclothes. In the previous hearing, the court had ordered production of Shirazi in the court at all cost on November 8 but police failed second time to do so angering the LHC judge to issue strong remarks expressing his anger over the working of the police.
Then, LHC judge summoned Punjab Advocate General and Capital City Police Officer with the warning that concerned officials they must not take this case for granted. The CCPO and other police officials and assistant advocate general Shazia Akhtar appeared before the court on the summon.
Nasir Shirazi had filed a petition to seek disqualification Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah over his statement against a respectable judge because of his inquiry report regarding the Lahore Model Town carnage that has irked Rana Sana and Punjab government.
Shirazi’s family and his party MWM say that Punjab Chief Minister, Punjab Law Minister, Police officer Rai Tahir and CM Punjab’s son Hamza Shahbaz were involved in his kidnapping to victimize him for political opposition.
