Pakistan’s eminent political leaders, parliamentarians and Sunni parties have demanded immediate release of renowned political worker Syed Nasir Abbas Shirazi, deputy secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.

Former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain who heads the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q), Shireen Mazari, an intellectual and a Member of Parliament belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Ejaz Chaudhry, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Ali Zaidi of PTI, Sahibzada Hamid Raza of Sunni Ittehad Council, have condemned the kidnapping of Nasir Shirazi by cops in plainclothes.
They termed it the worst example of the government-sponsored hooliganism in Punjab province. They asked who will protect lives and honour of citizens in Punjab province where killers and plunderers have been made ministers.
They condemned Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and demanded of the Inspector General Police of Punjab to release Nasir Shirazi and expose who kidnapped him on whose orders?
They warned that Rana Sanaullah would be held responsible for any harm caused to Nasir Shirazi.
It is relevant to add here that Nasir Shirazi had sought disqualification of Rana Sanaullah for his malicious and biased remarks to divide judiciary on sectarian lines.
