Father of missing Shia Raghib Abbas demands his immediate release

The elderly father of Raghib Abbas alias Saqib has demanded that his son must be released immediately and if there is any case against him, then he should be produced in the court of law forthwith.

He told a news agency correspondent in Islamabad that at midnight between September 21 and 22 in 2016, armed persons boarding nearly a dozen vehicles had stormed into his native area in Faisalabad. He said that someone in a whit car was directing them. They rounded up several youths and also thrashed them severely. They abducted his son Raghib Abbas at gunpoint and since then, he didn’t know regarding his whereabouts.
The father of Raghib Abbas said that he and his ancestors had rendered sacrifices to establish an Independent Muslim State of Pakistan. He said that he and his sons are not aliens or foreign nationals that they were being treated step motherly in Pakistan. He asked if Pakistani laws are not applicable to his son then why he was being subjected to enforced disappearance.
