More than 1000 Shia pilgrims denied permission to travel in Punjab

Biased Punjab government and police have not allowed buses carrying Shia pilgrims to travel from South Punjab to reach Taftan border via Balochistan province. The pilgrims have legal travel documents to go for pilgrimage on Arbaeen in Iraq via Iran but they had to spend cold night like strangers on roads on the inter-provincial border in South Punjab.

The Shia pilgrims from Ahmed Pur Siyal, Jhang and Chiniot have left their native towns for Taftan border but they were stopped at the inter-provincial borders. The pilgrims include: Senior citizens, women and children also.
Now, they are being asked to get permission from their officials at the Dera Ghazi Khan to proceed to Balochistan via another route.
It is relevant to add here that legally there is no bar on any citizen of Pakistan to travel to other provinces but the biased officials demand route permits and permission for their travel. But, terrorists-allied Punjab government is creating hurdles in the way of Shia pilgrims under its agreement with the proscribed terrorist outfit ASWJ.
