Supporters of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Malir chapter staged a sit-in on main National High Way at Malir 15 in Karachi to register their protest against the government’s failure to ensure cleanliness of streets near the places of mourning congregations and processions of Moharram Azadari.

Syed Meesam Abidi, MWM Karachi secretary general, Maulana Ghulam Mohammad Fazli, Hassan Abbas Rizvi, Ahsan Rizvi, Arif Raza and others also participated in the sit-in.
They lamented that heaps of garbage in Shia localities were not removed and roads were also in a dilapidated condition. They said that Sindh government and Karachi local government failed to shoulder their responsibilities despite promises and assurances they made to Shia notables during Moharram meetings.
They also complained against Karachi Commissioner saying that he was an incompetent officer hence he should be replaced with a competent officer. They said that Shia mourners were facing problems in observance of Moharram Azadari rituals.
Shia Muslims and like-minded Sunni Muslims commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of martyrs of Karbala led by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). Only takfiris don’t respect Ahle Bait (AS) otherwise entire Muslim Ummah respect Ahle Bait in high esteem and believe in the saying of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) that Imam Hassan and Imam Hussain (AS) are leaders of youths of Paradise.
