IGP Sindh calls for extraordinary security of shrines of saints

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja, on Thursday called for further beefing up the security of mazars and darghas in the province. Takfiri terrorists of banned Deobandi militant outfits such as ASWJ’s Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Taliban had been bombing the shrines of great Muslim saints in all over Sindh.

A police statement here said that the IGP instructed that with regard to the Thursdays, extraordinary security be ensured.
The IGP said that the security of mazars of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Sachal Sarmast and other main mazars be beefed up further by taking the management committees in to confidence, the effective searching and surveillance be ensured.
The DSPs and SHOs concerned should ensured their presence at the mazars, the IGP further instructed.
He warned that no dereliction would be tolerated with regard to the security measures.
