Countrywide protest against Myanmar over genocide of Rohingya Muslims
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has condemned the genocide against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar (Burma) and expressed solidarity with the oppressed Rohingya Muslims. He announced countrywide protest against the criminal silence of Myanmar regime that failed to protect precious lives and honour of Rohingya Muslims.
Allama Jafari said that MWM had begun registering protest in all over Pakistan and Shia Muslims would also observe Friday as a “Day of Support to the Oppressed People.”
He urged the Pakistan government to summon the ambassador of Myanmar and stiff protest be lodged against the atrocities being made to Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. He demanded that Myanmar government must stop this genocide and ensure that exemplary capital punishment is awarded to the culprits.
Allama Jafari also condemned the Saudi-led military alliance over its failure to send self-claimed Islamic Nato army to rid Rohingya Muslims of these brutalities and ferocious attacks from Buddhist terrorists.
He urged all Muslim governments to join hands and exert pressure on the Myanmar regime because the United Nations and human rights bodies have lacked interest in this issue and their criminal silence was disappointing for the world Muslim nations. He proposed that Muslim governments should break-off ties with the Myanmar regime as a token of protest.
