MWM leaders cut cake to celebrate the anniversary of Pakistan’s birthday
Leaders of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen cut a cake and visited the mausoleum of founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi to mark the 70th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence.
A delegation of MWM led by Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, deputy secretary general of the leading Shia party, visited the Mazar-e-Quaid and offered fateha on the occasion.
Allama Ahmed Iqbal, Mubashir Hassan, Allama Nishan Hyder Sajidi, Ali Hussain Naqvi, Meesam Abidi and other officials cut the cake at a well-attended ceremony at Numaish Chowrangi outside mausoleum of Mr. Jinnah.
They also held spectacular fireworks that light up the skies over MA Jinnah Road.
MWM leaders stressed on the need to act upon the teachings of Jinnah and Allama Iqbal to accomplish their mission by making Pakistan a welfare state.
