Over 30 Sunni parties observing Friday as a special day to condemn terrorism
More than 30 Sunni parties are observing Friday as Youm-e-Mazammat-e-Dahshat Gardi that means thaey condemn terrorism by special programmes to mark the day.
The Sunni parties issued a joint statement in which they demanded the government to launch crackdown on those more than 200 religious seminaries who are involved in terrorism or support to terrorism. They also demanded action against the religious supporters of the terrorists.
They vowed they would military action against the terrorists till the elimination of the last terrorist. They said that the government perpetrated criminal negligence by not making NACTA a functional counterterrorism authority. They demanded action against those who failed to implement National Action Plan.
Prominent among those who signed the joint statement included: Allama Pir Syed Mazhar Saeed Kazmi, Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Pir Syed Riaz Hussain Shah of Jamaat-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Hamid Raza of Sunni Ittehad Council, Haji Hanif Tayyab of Nizam e Mustafa Party, Bu Ali Shah of Anjuman Tabla-e-Islam, Hamid Sarfaraz Qadri of Sunni Ulema Board, Amanat Ali Zaib of Pakistan Falah Party, Hafiz M Azam Naeemi of Tehreek-e-Fidayan-e-Nubuwwat, Sahibzada Hasan Raza of JUP, etc.
