Fazalur Rehman assigned the task to revive MMA to serve Saudi interests

Reports had it that Deobandi party JUIF chief Fazalur Rehman has been assigned the task to revive Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) to advance Saudi interests in Pakistan.

It is learnt that Deobandi cleric Fazalur Rehman has intensified efforts to revive the MMA which was rendered defunct due to his own pro-Musharraf line in the past because of that Jamaat-e-Islami had distanced itself from MMA when Fazal didn’t take a hardline against Musharraf regime on Hudood laws.
Now, Saudi interests require MMA to block Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s return to power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and possibility of its success in 2018 election in other parts of Pakistan.
