Rallies were staged in various parts of Karachi yesterday to register protest against the targeted murders of four Shia Muslims near Mastung and witch-hunt against innocent Shia youths and scholars in many parts of the country.

Shia Muslims gathered outside mosques after offering Friday prayers and raised slogans against the unjust and illegal arrests of Shia Muslims, most recently in Punjab. They also condemned the targeted murders of Shia Hazara of Quetta near Mastung.
Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, cleric Azhar Hussain Naqvi and zakir Mubashir Hassan spoke to the protesters outside Jamey Masjid Noor-e-Eeman.
They said that genocide against Shia Muslims goes unabated from Parachinar to Mastung but the government seemed to have been indifferent to the anti-Shia terrorism. They said that terrorists were free to perpetrate attacks in all over country and the government has failed to eliminate them.
They demanded that military operation be launched in Mastung and all parts of Pakistan particularly Balochistan specifically against terrorists.
They demanded immediate release of innocent Shia Muslims who were illegally arrested and were being denied their legitimate right to defend them in the court of law since their whereabouts are not made known to their heirs and relatives.
Rallies were also staged in Malir, North Karachi, Azizabad, Gulshan-e-Maymar and other areas.
