MWM stages sit-in to mark solidarity with Parachinar protesters

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen is also staging sit-in protest to express solidarity with the heirs of martyrs of Parachinar. Main sit-in camp has been set up in Islamabad where politicians have met MWM chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari to assure him of their support to oppressed people of Parachinar.

Former Chairman Senate and eminent political leader of PPP Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, PPP Senators Rehman Malik and Farhatullah Babar, Naeem ul Haq of PTI, Iftikhar Hussain of ANP, Sahibzada Hamid Raza of Sunni Ittehad Council, human rights activists, lawyers and minority leaders visited the MWM’s sit-in camp and talked to Allama Jafari.
He told them that lawlessness rules Pakistan. He said that state’s security agency’s officials opened fire upon peaceful protesters that was the worst example of lawlessness. He said Shia Muslims struggle was against takfiri terrorism.
“The protest will continue till the acceptance of demands,” he said.
The politicians assured their support to the legitimate protest of Shia Muslims of Parachinar and their supporters such as MWM.
It is relevant to add here that MWM’s central sit-in camp was set up on the day of Eid where supporters of MWM continue to stage sit-in since then.
MWM Karachi and Lahore chapter also staged token sit-in and registered their protest. Likewise, countrywide token sit-in protest was held in all cities across Pakistan.
Allama Raja Nasir has visited Parachinar where he spoke to the protesters and met senior leaders, as well.
