Shia Muslims begin mourning martyrdom of Imam Ali in all over Pakistan
Pakistan’s Shia Muslims have begun mourning rituals to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali (AS) from the night of Wednesday that was observed as Shab-e-Zarbat and they are observing Friday night as Shab-e-Shahadat.
Clad in black suits, Shiites offer special recommended prayers, hold mourning congregations and processions and beat their chest to mourn the targeted assassination of the commander of faithful.
Shia Muslims are also observing special programmes of Ramazan such as Lailatul Qadr in which they offer special prayers and recite prays whole night.
Shia Muslims of Pakistan are also attending aitkaf these days and nights.
