Pakistan Army Chief likely to visit Tehran

Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa is likely to visit Iran to allay Tehran’s apprehensions regarding Pakistan’s participation in the Saudi military alliance and joining of the alliance by retireds General Raheel Sharif.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa is likely to visit Tehran to discuss the matter with the Iranian leadership. The army chief, besides addressing Iranian concerns regarding the alliance, would reiterate Pakistan’s desire to act as a mediator between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Pakistan media has reported that an Iranian military delegation has recently visited Pakistan.
