Innocent Shia Muslim Mujtaba Shah acquitted in takfiri murder case
Lahore High Court absolved innocent Shia Muslim Mujtaba Shah of the baseless charges against him that he murdered a takfiri ringleader of banned terrorist outfit.
Mujtaba Shah of Chiniot district of Punjab was wrongly implicated in the murder case of banned Sipah-e-Sahaba ringleader Abu Bakar. He was put behind the bars in 2015 and since then he was waiting for justice. ATC had pronounced death sentence but LHC bench gave a clear verdict on the appeal against the death sentence.
The LHC bench comprising Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry, exonerated him because of no proof of Mujtaba Shah’s involvement in the murder was presented.
Shia Muslims condemn takfiris and their terrorist activities but never remained involved in armed reprisals to the takfiri terrorism in Pakistan.
