Islamabad has agreed to send 5,000 military troops to join Saudi military coalition, according to the Wall Street Journal report quoting a Pakistani official.

The information source said Pakistan agreed to send 5,000 troops to safeguard Saudi southern regions against attacks by the Yemeni army and Popular forces. It is relevant to add here that the Parliament of Pakistan had resolved against this and the decision to send troops was a clear violation of Parliamentary resolution that was adopted unanimously.
Saudis realized that they could not rely on the United States in their aggression against Yemen, so it turned to countries that have an army.
Pakistani media reported, according to senior officials, the soldiers will be deployed in the Saudi southern borders with Yemen.
There are currently 1200 Pakistani soldiers to train Saudi army, according to the report.
Pakistani media claimed that the role of the Pakistani troops is to protect Saudi military installations against Yemeni attacks and repel any incursions.
