Council of Shia Scholars formed, Allama Mirza Yousuf to head it

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s leadership, in consultation with the Shia religious scholars, have formed a new council of Pakistani Shia scholars namely Majlis-e-Ulema-e-Shia-Pakistan. Renowned Shiite cleric Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain will head the council.

The decision to form the council was announced at the Ulema Conference held in Islamabad yesterday. The conference of Shia scholars was held on the last day of the 3-day annual Irfan-e-Wilayat Convention of the MWM.
In its 15-points final declaration, the Shia Ulema Conference announced support to the ongoing Operation Raddul Fasaad stressing that the takfiri terrorists of banned outfits must be eliminated altogether under this operation. It demanded full powers to the security officials in this regard. It demanded operation against the ideological facilitators of the terrorists as well.
It emphasized its full support to the unity of Muslims and for that purpose Shia scholars would continue their efforts so that the unity and fraternity among Muslims could be strengthened.
The Shia scholars also condemned the brutal lynching of Mashal Khan, a student of Khan Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and demanded of the government that nobody should take law into his own hands in the name of blasphemy. They made it clear that Shia Muslims believe in the sanctity of the infallible Prophet of Islam who is last apostle of God but simultaneously they demand that nobody should be allowed to take law into their hands in the name of blasphemy.
The Ulema Conference of the MWM demanded of the religious affairs ministry to hold a national conference to promote inter-sectarian harmony and unity of Muslims and officially condemn Daesh and pro-Daesh elements and formally announce capital punishment to the Daesh and their proponents.
The final statement stressed on the need that Pakistan must be reconstructed in accordance with the ideology of its founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal so that all Pakistanis should enjoy equal rights and spend fearless life freely in their homeland.
It demanded that all key decisions of vital national interests must be made at the Parliament and government must table all issues at the Parliament for its endorsement so that this message be conveyed to the world that civilian and military leadership believe in supremacy of the rule of law and they are on same page.
It demanded there must be a practical ban on the activities of the banned terrorist outfits and they must not be allowed to hold any programme or rally under any name and under any pretext. It demanded the performance report of all the counterterrorism operations and details of the failures in achieving the targets, if any, and reasons for that. It demanded that all judicial commission reports be released in the interest of public.
It condemned the Saudi-led unilateral war on innocent Arab Muslims of Yemen and condemns the Saudi monarchy for creating this human catastrophe and demands all Muslims regimes they must condemn and reverse it.
The Ulema Conference condemned terrorist attacks on Syrian civilians in Kafriya and Foua by the takfiri terrorists and US missile attacks on Syrian airbase.
