Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif failed to clear the mist of confusion vis-à-vis Saudi-led military alliance to which Pakistan was included as member by Wahhabi kingdom of Saudi Arabia without the consent of Pakistani authorities and Khawaja already told media persons that Pakistan was part of the alliance and allowed Raheel Sharif to serve the alliance. Neither parliament of Pakistan approved it not Pakistani nation is willing to accept the sectarianisation of Pakistan by joining Saudi alliance.

Khawaja again misled the parliament yesterday that the contours of the proposed Saudi Arabia-led military alliance to fight terrorism would shape up in a meeting of defence ministers of the member states which is expected next month. But, as a matter of fact, Pakistan already has accepted Saudi decision that Pakistan was part of the alliance whose agenda Pakistan still doesn’t know!
Delivering a policy statement in the upper house of parliament, he tried to clear the ‘mist of confusion’ surrounding the Saudi-led alliance and Pakistan’s role in it. According to him, the terms of reference (ToRs) of the proposed alliance are yet to be finalised.
Asif said Pakistan would not become a part of any alliance created to foment sectarian strife in the region and added that it was also Pakistan’s duty to protect Saudi Arabia. “Pakistan will never become a part of any alliance which will be against any country, particularly if it is against any Muslim country,” he added. But, as a matter of fact, Saudi monarchy is fighting a war on behalf o Zionsit regime of Israel and its patron US against those Islamic nations and groups who are fighting against the illegal occupation of Zionist regime of Israel over Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.
In the same breath, the minister said he was sure that the proposed Saudi-led alliance was not against any country. He particularly mentioned neighbouring Iran and said Pakistan would always maintain brotherly ties with its southern neighbour.
