Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, chief of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has sent letters to the heads of the key political parties of Pakistan and urged them to raise their voice against the Pakistan joining Saudi-led military alliance at the Parliament and elsewhere.

The letter drew the attention of major political parties that the Parliament of Pakistan had already opposed taking sides in dispute of Muslim nations and also called for neutrality in Saudi-led war on Yemen hence allowing former army chief Raheel Sharif to join Saudi-led military coalition is against the interest of Pakistan and in violation of Parliament’s decision.
He said that Pakistan government must be pressured to withdraw its decision to join Saudis war against Muslims. He said that Pakistan itself is at war with the terrorists and tension on borders with India and Afghanistan continued unabated. He said in view of these three fronts, Pakistan is not in a position to join anybody else ignoring its own security. He said that Saudi alliance is a sectarian alliance and that would also disturb sectarian harmony in Pakistan.
