Biased and rogue elements in the counter-terrorism department (CTD) of Punjab police have arrested another patriot and law-abiding Shia Muslim scholar in Jhang district.
Maulana Arshad Ali Khan had returned from Najaf (Iraq) where he was a senior student of religious education. On his return to hometown Jhang in Punjab province, he was taken into illegal and undeclared custody.
So far, at least 100 Shia scholars, notables and activists have been taken into illegal custody across Pakistan under the police of balance that is aimed at equating the Shia victims of takfiri terrorism with the notorious takfiris of banned terrorist outfits by pro-Saudi elements within the power that be of the state of Pakistan.
Neither United Nations nor human rights bodies have taken any notice of this forced disappearance or illegal detention of Shia scholars, notables and activists without any charge against him.
