Three ASWJ terrorists arrested for bombing in Muzaffarabad Imam Bargah
Three terrorists of banned Deobandi outfit ASWJ (Sipah-e-Sahaba) were arrested for facilitating the suicide bomber who exploded in Markazi Imam Bargah Pir Syed Alam Shah Bukhari in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Speaking at a press conference, additional SP Asif Durrani of AJK police said that Malik Mohammad Ishfaq, Mohammad Khaqan and Umer Farooq were arrested for hosting the suicide bombers and transporting him to the Imam Bargah on Shab-e-Ashur December 28, 2009.
Malik Ishfaq who hails from Sariyan area of Muzaffarabad, had taken his family to North Waziristan after the suicide bombing. He is a close aide of Dheer Kot-based Shamil Khan who is the ringleader of Azad Kashmir-based terrorist network. Raids are being conducted to arrest him.
Anti-Terrorism Act has been enforced in AJK. Hence, security agencies have begun working under that Act.
