Friday was observed as a day of protest against the targeted murders of Shia Muslims across Sindh province mainly in Karachi city where rallies were staged to vent anger on takfiri terrorists of banned Deobandi terror outfits who had been claiming responsibility for terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Shia Muslims largely attended in these rallies and demonstrations in all over Sindh on an appeal from Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM).
Shia Ulema Council also staged a demonstration outside Khoja Isna Ashri Jamey Masjid in Kharadar Karachi where Allama Nazir Taqvi spoke and condemned the targeted murder.
MWM’s main rally was held outside Jamey Masjid Noor-e-Eeman where renowned Shia scholar Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain spoke.
He demanded immediate arrest of the killers of innocent Shia Muslims and capital punishment to them. He said that inaction against the banned terrorist outfits encouraged them to continue killing innocent people in all over Pakistan and particularly in Karachi.
He said that two Shia Muslims including a religious scholar Kazim Ali Shakri Parvi, were murdered in Karachi. He said that Mr. Kazim was son-in-law of MWM leader Allama Mohammad Hussain Karimi. He said that protest could be turned into movement if the government fails to take action against the takfiri terrorists.
