MWM Foreign Affairs head says Pakistanis support peaceful Bahraini struggle
Head of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Allama Shafqat Shirazi has condemned the armed assault on the peaceful Shia Muslims of Bahrain while they were staging a sit-in outside the house of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qasim.
He said that Pakistani nation fully support the peaceful struggle of oppressed people of Bahrain for the establishment of a representative political system and legitimate rights for them in their homeland. He said that peaceful struggle for inalienable rights is universally recognized right of Bahrainis.
Shirazi urged the international community, Muslim Ummah and Pakistani government to play their due role to stop despotic hereditary non-elected and non-representative regime of Bahrain from adopting undemocratic and negative methods against the peaceful political opponents and the pro-democracy struggle leaders in Bahrain. He urged Pakistan government to call back all the Pakistanis who had gone to Bahrain to join oppressive forces of Bahrain.
He said that dozens of peaceful Bahrainis were injured due to firing of the trigger-happy cops of Bahrain monarchy who wanted to arrest the most respectable and notable Shia scholar and leader Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qasim for his bold stance.
