The assassin of Agha Ziauddin Rizvi killed in a gun-battle with CTD Police

Dr Shakir alias Ali Sufiyan was the assassin of renowned Shia leader Allama Agha Ziauddin Rizvi who the counterterrorism department of Punjab police killed in an armed encounter in Sheikhupura.

Agha Ziauddin Rizvi was martyred on January 8, 2005 near his house in Gilgit. Dr Shakir was a Deobandi terrorist of banned ASWJ/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. He and LeJ ringleader Asif Chotu were among four Deobandi terrorists of LeJ who were gunned down in a shootout near Sheikhupura.
Asif Chotu was involved in killings of 300 Sunni and Shia Muslims including an Iranian Consul General.
