Sunni-Shia unity marks MWM conference on birth anniversary of Prophet of Islam
Leading Shia party Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen hosted Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (SAWW) Conference to mark the celebrations on the birth anniversary of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God and Prophet of Islam, in Hyderabad district’s Latifabad Unit 8.
The congregation was a manifestation of intra-Muslims unity on the one hand and interfaith harmony on the other as Christians also participated alongside Sunni Muslims in the Conference hosted by Shia Muslims.
Sahibzada Hamid Raza, head of Sunni Ittehad Council, representatives from JUI, Anjuman Naujawanan-e-Islam, Qaumi Awami Tehreek and All Pakistan Muslim League marked the intra-Muslims unity and cohesion.
Father Daniel Fayaz, president of Church of Pakistan, led Christians in the Conference to strengthen the relations between Christianity and Islam.
Veteran Shia cleric Allama Haider Ali Javadi, Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain of All Pakistan Shia Action Committee and Asgharia Organisation’s Fazal Hussain Asghari also attended the conference.
