LHC Rawalpindi Bench summons interior secretary on petition against TJP ban

Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench has summoned the federal interior secretary seeking his written report regarding ban on Tehreek-e-Jafaria Pakistan on a petition of Allama Sajid Naqvi yesterday.

Allama Sajid Naqvi, the chief of the TJP, has filed a petition seeking to lift the ban on his TJP forthwith. The ban was imposed during the tenure of General Pervez Musharraf, the former military ruler of Pakistan.
Justice Atir Mehmood of the LHC Rawalpindi Bench heard the petition yesterday and adjourned the hearing till December 16.
