MWM supports independent candidate in by-election from Jhang

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has announced its electoral support to an independent contestant in the by-election to Punjab Assembly constituency PP-78 from Jhang.

MWM Punjab chapter decided so after anti-takfiri ally Sheikh Waqas Akram requested them to back the moderate anti-takfiri independent candidate Nasir Ansari. MWM Punjab deputy secretary general Mulazim Hussain Shah, political affairs secretary Hassan Raza Kazmi and MWM district organizer Intikhab Baloch announced their support at a joint press conference together with former MNA Sheikh Waqas Akram.
“We respect Waqas Akram in high-esteem for his unwavering voice of protest against the takfiri fanatics of Pakistan and we hope he will continue to do so in future as well,” said Mulazim Shah vowing that Pakistani nation had isolated the takfiris.
He said that MWM was the first party that raised voice against the takfiri heap of garbage. He said all other parties were advocating talks with the takfiris but MWM’s staunch stance won the hearts and minds of Pakistanis and finally operation was launched against the takfiris.
“Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen believes in peace in Pakistan and unity of all Pakistanis mainly Muslims. Ours is a message of love, fraternity r and cohesion and we shall continue to work to attain that end come what may,” he vowed.
