Chairman of Tanzeem-e-Ittehad-e-Ummat and nazim-e-aala of Ittehad-e-Ummat Islamic Centre Mohammad Ziaul Haq Naqshbandi has demanded of the government to take stern action against the seminaries involved in terrorism, a clear reference to Deobandi seminaries that back proscribed ASWJ/LeJ, Taliban and Jamaatul Ahrar.

Speaking at Jamey Masjid al Hassan in Lahore, he also demanded of the government to take action against the foreign funders and facilitators of the terrorists forthwith. He said that life of a human being is more sacred than the sanctity of holy Ka’aba therefore all those who defame Pakistan by unjustifiable bloodshed deserve capital punishment in this temporal world and also in the eternal world.
Mr. Naqshbandi urged the government to launch crackdown on the masterminds, perpetrators and facilitators of the terrorist attacks by expanding the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb. He also demanded that those banned outfits and their ringleaders who continue to operate their outlawed groups must be brought to book without any delay and no renamed group should be allowed to work in any part of the country.
