Allama Raja Nasir says strong political leadership can drive Pakistan out of crisis

Head of a leading Shia party Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has vowed that he and his MWM would not back any unconstitutional move of anybody into political affairs of Pakistan.

Speaking at to media persons at MWM Secretariat Islamabad he urged all the political parties to get united on single point agenda against the corruption. He said that corruption must be eliminated to defeat terrorists in Pakistan. He urged the security agencies not to obey unlawful and unconstitutional orders of anybody. He urged them to work independently within the ambit of law.
“Due to an inept government, power tussle goes on in full swing. A strong and powerful civilian political leadership is needed to drive the country out of prevailing crisis because Martial Law gave no solution to the ills of Pakistan,” he said sending a clear message to all that he had not sided with those who invited armed forces tom take over.
Allama Jafari urged the State Institutions and relevant departments such National Accountability Bureau, Anti-Corruption department and Federal Investigation Agency to play their due role to bring the corrupt to book. He urged the judiciary to play their much-needed role to convict the corrupt and terrorists because both of them pose threat to Pakistan.
“Banned terrorist outfits leaders meeting with the interior minister and his assurance to them to exclude them from fourth schedule was nothing but an undeclared demise of National Action Plan,” he said lambasting the government for demonstration leniency towards the banned outfits.
He said that Constitution of Pakistan guaranteed legitimate and inalienable rights to Shia Pakistanis and these rights included azadari as well and no power could stop Pakistani Shia Muslims to exercise this and other constitutional rights in Pakistan.
