Another police cop killed in Peshawar as Deobandi terrorism continues
A police personnel was martyred and another injured in a blast perpetrated by Deobandi terrorists in Daudzai police station limits in Peshawar on Tuesday.
The blast was caused by explosives planted on the roadside, police said. More explosives were found in the area following the blast. The explosives were being defused by the bomb disposal unit when it exploded, police said.
A bomb disposal squad official said that the (Deobandi) terrorist was standing in the crowd nearby and the explosion was caused through a remote controlled device. He added that the normal range of a remote control is up to 500 metres. He added that the explosion occurred when he placed a stick inside the pipe bomb. The bomb disposal squad official remained unhurt as he was wearing a bullet proof vest.
