Mourners largely attend funeral of slain Shia principal in Karachi

A large number of people on Sunday attended the funeral of Mansoor Zaidi, a school principal and a trustee of an Imam Bargah who was shot dead in Karachi.

The funeral prayer was held at reserved compound within the premises of Masjid-e-Khairul Amal Trust adjacent to mosque and Imam Bargah Shohda-e-Karbala in Sadat Colony Incholi. Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, deputy secretary general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen led the funeral prayer.
Martyr Mansoor Zaidi was laid to rest in Wadi-e-Hussain (AS) graveyard amid slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS).
He was ambushed on Friday night. His son was seriously injured in the terrorist attack of proscribed ASWJ’s sister-wing Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, a Deobandi takfiri outfit banned by the State authorities but not eliminated so far.
