Millat-e-Jafaria Solidarity Conference vows unity of Shiites for azadari
Shia Muslims pledged at Millat-e-Jafaria Solidarity Conference that they would ensure unity and joint course of action for an organized and comprehensive plan for azadari during Moharram and afterwards.
Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, deputy secretary general and spokesman for Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen hosted the conference in a Shia locality in Karachi. Salman Mujtaba, president of Markazi Tanzeem-e-Aza, Shabbar Raza, additional general secretary of Jafaria Alliance, Allama Nisar Qalandri, president of Majlis-e-Zakireen-e-Imamia, Shuail Mirza, an official of All Pakistan Shia Action Committee, Mujtaba Haider, deputy secretary general of Imamia Students Organisation, Nisar alias Shah Jee, head of Payam-e-Wilayat Foundation, Mehdi Zaidi of Bu Turab Scout, Sardar Hussain of Scouts Rabta Council and representatives of over 40 Shia organizations attended the conference. Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, Allama Furqan Haider Abidi, Allama Jafar Raza Naqvi and Alam Shah Jee were also present.
Allama Naqvi informed the participants that a united programme should be chalked out for azadari congregations and processions.
It is relevant to add that Pakistani Shia Muslims mourn the anniversary of martyrdoms of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions (martyrs of Karbala) from first day of first month of Islamic calendar Moharram and culminate the annual mourning on 8th of Rabi ul Awwal, third month of Islamic calendar.
