State Terrorism: Kidnapped Innocent Shia Youth Alleged with Target Killing

Five individuals kidnapped ten days back have suddenly emerged and termed as Target Killers carrying out sectarian killings in the city for the past several years. 

Syed Amir Hussain Rizvi, Zainul Abideen, Faizyaab Ali, Syed Mohsin Hussain and Syed Mohammad Abbas were abducted by plain clothes individuals from their homes respectively in Malir and Shah Faisal. Despite several attempts of the loved ones their whereabouts were not known with police misleading them in all directions.

Kidnapping was the impression given to the family members’ later to vindicate the apprehended, decreeing them as ‘Target Killers’ after 10 days.

The individuals were taken without a reason, warrant or information. Apprehended against all norms of social and ethical sciences, the apprehended were taken without any baggage.

Later, the anti-terrorism police claimed busting a group of hitmen of being taken into custody alongwith ammunition and upon interrogation to have revealed many a crimes beyond their comprehension.

DIG Arif Haneef of the anti-terror force claims that the individuals were arrested whereas it was clear case of abduction. The police claims finding lethal weapons, including 9mm pistols, on the innocent youth during the abduction.

DIG Haneef claimed the seized weapons and bullets had been used in several sectarian killings in Karachi dating back till 2013, as per Sindh Police’s Forensic Division. Astonishingly, the hitmen were not only using the same gun but the bullets as well, saving it for the police for the past 3 years.
