No room for Anti-Pakistan Statement in MQM, lest it be of Altaf: Amir Liaquat Insinuated
MQM leader Dr Amir Liaquat, earlier arrested from his office on I.I. Chundrigar Road and later released by the Rangers after overnight detention, claims that MQM cannot tolerate anti-Pakistan statements lest it be by its party leader.
“Altaf should have retracted his statement,” Amir Liaquat said speaking to a local TV channel. “I was awake all night. The Rangers kept me really well and I met the DG Rangers,” he said. “I am under a lot of pressure.”
He said, joining his contemporary MQM Farooq Sattar at Karachi Press Club, that Pakistan was established by Muhajirs and there is no sentiment that prevails in Muhajirs’ mind but “Hail Pakistan” (Pakistan Zindabad).
He condemned his leader speech and iterated that till Altaf reaches his mental stability there is no room for his speech in the party, he suggested the leader to get treatment.
“Anti-Pakistan statement will not be tolerated at any cost”, he said.
