Terrorism Prevails | Two Militarymen Shot Dead Near Parking Plaza Karachi

KARACHI: At least two security officials of Intelligence Agency were shot dead when unidentified armed men opened fire at their army vehicle near Parking Plaza New M.A. Jinnah Road Saddar area, media reported.

The personnel were shifted to Jinnah Hospital immediately where they succumbed to their wounds. The first was already dead upon his arrival while efforts were made in operation threatre for the second to no avail, JPMC Emergency Head Dr Seemin Jamali informed media.

The martyred were identified as Lance Naik Abdul Razzak from Nowshero Feroz and Sapoy Khadim Hussain from Dadu, reports suggest.

Militants used 9mm pistol for attacking the vehicle on the move, which ended up crashing into a wall after being fired upon. 

Eye witnesses claim two motorcycles opened fire on the vehicle giving head shots to the personnels.

Security officials have cordoned off the area while forensic officials have reached the spot to collect evidence that will aid the investigation.

In December last year, two Military Police officials were killed after their vehicle was fired upon by unidentified gunmen near Tibet Centre on MA Jinnah road.
