Shia Taxi driver’s murder: Court awards physical remand of Rangers terrorists
A member of the paramilitary Rangers – booked for killing an unarmed innocent Shia taxi driver Murad Ali on July 16 – was arrested and brought to a Karachi court on Thursday.
Taxi driver Murad Ali was driving his son Zohaib Ali to a doctor near their home in Gulistan-e-Jauhar for an upset stomach, before stopping to buy fruit for Iftar when he was shot dead by Ghulam Rasul, the Rangers soldier responsible for the incident.
The driver was shot four times in the chest of innocent Murad Ali. Murad’s son was unharmed but he was unable to speak after witnessing the whole shocking episode.
Today, the court awarded four-day physical remand of the Rangers officer and asked police to investigate him and submit a report during the next hearing. Police also recovered the weapon used in the shooting.
A total of four Rangers personnel were booked in the case, however, the police have only arrested the key accused while the other three are on the run. The next hearing is scheduled for July 22.
The terrorists of Rangers were also killed several shiite men in Karachi without any charges beside the number of karachiites but on the other hand Rangers were remained silent on the activities of outlawed Taliban, Jundullah, and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (Sipah-e-Sahaba) at Sultanabad, Kanwari Colony, Lyari, Sohrab Goth and other areas of Karachi.
