ptiPakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s provincial government in Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa province seems to be backtracking from its slogan of change. Instead, its people-friendly image is also being tarnished because of its inaction against the terrorists and lack of sympathy for the victims of terrorism.

Scores of people had fallen victims to the suicidal attack in Marty Arif Hussain Seminary Mosque on Friday June 21 when they were offering Friday prayers. Many embraced martyrdom and many were critically wounded.

Unfortunately, none of the KPK government official has so far met the heirs and relatives of the martyrs and none of them have so far visited hospitals to inquire about the health of the injured.

Neither they visited nor have they expressed sympathy with the victims so far. Instead, one of the ministers in the KPK government made an irresponsible statement and offensive remarks when his attention was drawn to the suicidal attack.

He said: “So what? A blast occurred. That has not played havoc of doomsday’s havoc. What can I do?”

Allama Mukhtar Imami, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has said that the terrorists have massacred innocent Shia Muslims in Martyr Arif Hussaini Seminary but KPK minister made an irresponsible statement instead of making policy statement against the terrorists. He demanded Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s chairman Imran Khan and the KPK Chief Minister to take notice of the irresponsible statement of the PTI-led KPK government.
