Peshawar Madressah blast: Four terrorists arrested

arif hussainiAt least four terrorists were arrested for their alleged involvement in a suicide blast at Jamia Shaheed Arif Hussain Al-Hussaini Peshawar on June 21 claims the lives of 16 worshippers including the grandson of Shaheed Quaid Allama Arif al-Hussaini.

The arrests were made during a search operation conducted by Gulbahar police Peshawar on Monday.

Gulbahar police station Assistant Superintendent Police Ismail Karak said following Friday’s blast police has tightened security in the city.

Kark said officials at Ijazabad checkpoint signalled for two men on a motorcycle to stop but the men abandoned their vehicle and escaped. Following this, police launched a search operation in Saeed Street and Gulabad area and arrested four suspects hailing from Dir. Arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession.

The suspects whose names could not be ascertained were shifted to the Gulbahar police station for further investigations. Karak added they had also launched search operations on a minor scale all over the city.

Fifteen people were killed, while 27 others were injured in the attack. Its pertaining to mention here that a main culprit of Peshawar blast was arrested from the local hospital in an injured condition.
