MWM protest against Shia genocide in Karachi & attack on Peshawar seminary

A large number of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen members from Lahore on Sunday staged a demonstration to condemn the attack on a renowned Madrassah in Peshawar and Shia genocide in Karachi.

They demanded stern punishment for the perpetrators of this act.The demonstration was held outside the Lahore Press Club in which the protesters condemned the suicide attack on Madrassah Shaheed Arif Hussein in Peshawar a couple of days ago which left many people killed.

Addressing the gathering, MWM Punjab Deputy Secretary General Asad Abbas Naqvi said that through a planned scheme, Shia genocide was continuing in Pakistan and it had now accelerated.

He also said the recent killings of tourists in Gligit was also a matter of concern and it had become obvious that the PML-N government was helpless in controlling terrorism.The MWM leadership also pressed the rulers to remember the fate met by Raeesani government in Balochistan and take all proper steps to prevent Shia killings in Pakistan.

They said members of a banned outfit were responsible for terrorist activities in Gilgit and other cities which was obvious after the graffiti done by the killers of tourists in GB. They said it was lamentable that the rulers were only protecting the US and Jewish interests who were the real players behind the terrorism in Pakistan.

The MWM local leadership also asserted that the defence of the homeland was mandatory for its citizens and they all were ready to render any sacrifice to save the country.The protesters, including women and children, demanded practical steps against terrorists. They also staged a sit-in and dispersed peacefully afterwards
