Emboldened by PPP’s support, Allama Sajid Naqvi visits Skardu

sajid skardooAllama Sajid Naqvi, chief of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan visited Gilgit-Baltistan province that was his first visit since his agreement with the Pakistan People’s Party.

On a call from Allama Shaikh Hassan Jafari, people of Skardu accorded him warm welcome. Due to bad weather, Allama Naqvi could not reach Skardu a day earlier.

“Baltistan is the land of martyrs. Sacred blood of our great martyrs has made Shia Muslims stronger and invincible,” said Allama Sajid Naqvi speaking at Dignity of Martyrs Conference at Yadgar-e-Shohda Chowk.

He visited the houses of martyrs of Chilas and Lalu Sar Tragedies and offered condolence with the heirs and relatives. He also visited the graves of Agha Roohullah and Agha Jan Hussaini and other martyrs and prayed to rest departed souls in eternal peace.
