Day 14 Hunger Camp: ex-Governor KPK Comes pay Homage to Allama Raja Nasir Abbas

Former governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (r) Ibn-e-Ali met Allama Raja Nasir Abbas on Friday at the Hunger strike camp in Islamabad.

The delegation led by the former governor comprised of 24 member to include leaders from Wahdat council Kohat, Hangu and Karzai. They paid tribute to Allama Nasir’s efforts and pledged solidarity to the cause. The strike continues on the 14th day against shia genocide in Pakistan.

They suggested that the strike not only focuses on the atrocities against a particular sect but as well the whole of oppressed nation of Pakistan. They condemned the arrogance of the government, paying a deaf ear to the issue, stated that they will not leave lest it be Ramazan or eid and wait out till their demands are met.

The delegation pointed out that shia and sunni parties together are reconciling on a joint intervention in this regard, planning to take out a rally against the regime for their ignorance on the issue.  

Former member of the parliament Hussain al-Husseini, Maulana Abdul Hussain and other prominent leaders from the wahdat council were present in the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention here that shia community has been inflicted with atrocities in the past to which a number of protests have been recorded. Quetta killing brought masses on the street, long marches were witnessed and a number of other modes were taken to highlight shiites being targeted in Pakistan. Event entail recent regimes’ involvement in most of the incidents planned against this particular faction, which in the past have been protested to no avail.

On May 13, Allama Raja Nasir took to the task and using his democratic right went on a hunger strike which continues today for the past 14th day.
