Shia Ulema Council stages demo in Peshawar against targeted murders
Shia Muslims held a demonstration outside Peshawar Press Club on Monday to protest against the targeted murders of Shiites in Peshawar.
They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the terrorists who perpetrated terrorism in Imamia Colony. They also raised slogans against the terrorists and the government for its failure to eliminate terrorism.
Speaking to the protestors, the SUC Peshawar chapter president Mujahid Akbar Akhunzada, Imamia Jirga’s Akhunzada Muzaffar Ali and ISO Peshawar Division President Iqtidar Ali Shayan said that the government has bowed to the terrorists.
They said that terrorists were emboldened by the lenient policies of the government. They urged the government to launch a military operation against the terrorists.
