Day of Protest against the desecration of Islamic sanctities in Syria

mwm karachi protestA Day of Protest was observed on a call of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s secretary general Allama Nasir Abbas Jafari to vent anger against the desecration of the shrines of companions of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle and prophet of God in Syria.

The demonstrations were held outside of Shia mosques after Friday prayers in Malir Ice Depot, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Landhi, Babar Market, Drigh Road, DHA Phase IV and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Main protest was staged outside Jamia Masjid Khoja Isna Ashri Kharadar where thousands of faithful participated.

They were carrying placards and banners and also raised slogans against the takfiri terrorists who had massacred innocent Syrians and desecrated the Islamic sanctities. They also chanted slogans against the Israel and the U.S.-led anti-Syrian alliance. The protestors burnt the flags of Zionist regime of Israel.

Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, secretary general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Karachi chapter, Maulana Munawar Naqvi, Maulana Zulfiqar Jafari, Maulana Mohammad Hussain Jafari, Maulana Deedar Ali Jalbani, Allama Mubashir Raza and Aqeel Kazmi spoke to the protestors.

They said that the mosques and holy shrines of the Prophet Hazrat Zakaria (A S), and of companions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) Hazrat Ammaar Yasir, Hazrat Ovais Qarni and Hazrat Hujr Ibn-e-Odai were attacked by the terrorists who also desecrated the preserved tooth of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).

He said that the takfiri ideology disrespect the sanctity of the holy shrines and graves of the Prophets God and his companions. Therefore, he appealed to the Pakistani nation to mark solidarity and unanimously condemn the violators of the sanctities of Islam.

They demanded that the takfiri terrorists must be awarded capital punishment and they must be brought to book.
