mwm st pcMajlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has accused the Muttahida Qaumi Movement of electoral fraud and demanded re-elections on the constituencies of National Assembly and Provincial Assembly from Karachi.

Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, secretary general of the MWM Karachi chapter said at a hurriedly called press conference that the hooligans of the MQM held Karachi hostage on gunpoint throughout the polling day on Saturday.

“MQM’s stamp mafia stamped the ballot papers by use of force and their massive rigging proved that free and fair elections were not held in Karachi,” said Allama Taqvi.

He said that the ballot boxes from the polling stations were taken away so that the supporters of the MWM could not be able to vote for the MWM’s candidates.

“The terrorist of the MQM kidnapped Asghar Abbas Zaidi, MWM’s candidate from the NA-253 from Gulshan-e-Iqbal Aero Club. They thrashed the candidates and supporters of the MWM in the NA-252, PS-117, PS-126 and PS-127,” he said.

The MWM’s Karachi secretary general further said that the MWM had to boycott the elections from the NA-252, NA-253, NA-257, PS-117, PS-118, PS-119 and PS-127.

He demanded that fresh elections be held from these constituencies under the supervision of Pakistan Army.

He said that caretaker government, Pakistan Rangers, and Election Commission of Pakistan have completely failed to stop the terrorists from rigging the electoral process. He said that the terrorists held hostage the polling process in Malir, Gulistan-e-Johar, Shah Faisal Colony, Incholi, Rizvia Society and Soldier Bazaar.

Sunni Tehrik leader Matloob Qadri, Allama Haider Abbas Abidi, MWM candidates Shakir Ali Raujani, Maulana Mohammad Hussain Karimi and Ali Hassan Naqvi were also present.
