MWM reaches electoral adjustments with Sunni Tehrik and Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan

DSC02470Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has reached electoral adjustments with Sunni Tehrik and Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan to contest elections 2013 under a joint strategy.

At a press conference at Karachi Press Club, the leaders of the MWM, Matloob Awan Qadri of the PST and Mustaqeem Noorani of the JUP announced their joint course of action to contest elections against the forces of evil and terrorism. Zia Abbas of National Peoples Party was also present.

They said that their parties would not contest elections against one another and they would back a single candidate of either party by withdrawing other candidates.

“We appeal to the voters to vote for us to make Pakistan a welfare state in which terrorists and fanatics are dealt with death knell,” said Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi.

He said that it was good omen that moderate religious parties who believe in the ideology of Pakistan and whose ancestors had sacrificed everything for the sake of Pakistan have joined hands and decided to work together in the Elections 2013.

“We condemn the terrorist attacks on the election rallies and offices of the political parties. The terrorists of fighting a proxy war of the United States, Zionist Israeli regime and India,” Matloob Qadri said.

He said that these stooges were trying to pave way for the agents of their masters so that they could control Pakistani affairs through these stooges.

“We express our sympathy and condolence over the tragic deaths in the terrorist attacks on some parties. We assure that should the people elects us, we shall work hard to end sectarianism, ethnic bias, terrorism and fanaticism,” Mustaqeem Qadri said.

They said that Pakistan is a sacred land where friends of God preached and spread Islam by their services and love. They urged people to support the moderate parties to defeat the agenda of the terrorists and imperialists.
